Doughboy Wrestling Club 2011-2012 Schedule



 

High School Spring Session-March 12th-June 3rd

March 14th-June 5th 12 Weeks

The spring schedule will be an all inclusive session for our athletes. They will be able to maximize this schedule to their full benefit. All athletes will be highly encouraged to make sure they make at least one of the Technique nights for proper drilling techniques and new moves each week. This should be a high priority on their list in the off-season. The full Live night (Wed) will also include an hour of teaching proper lifting techniques. The Freestyle/Greco night (Mon) will allow them to maximize their abilities and learn balance and how to finish fast. The groups are tentatively designated to be as follows; Group A (100lbs-140lb), Group B (145lbs-HWT), after registration the groups could be subject to change. If there is an issue with teammates being in different classes and they need to attend the same class due to rides please contact Coach Shunamon and we will try to accommodate. (Depends on weight)

The cost of the spring session will only be $250 and will include the full schedule. For two children the cost will be $425. For spring athletes you can sign up for the Sunday only “Wake Up” workout and the cost is $150. WALK ins are welcome on Sunday’s only. Late registration is welcome for the session if room is available.

The spring session will include a t-shirt.

*** Note for Spring Session athletes we will be wrestling in several off season dual meets. There will be a wrestle off night to follow; I will be posting the dates of the tournaments and weight classes. Please make sure to sign up and be cautious of the weight you sign up. This is the off-season and do not expect anyone to cut drastic weight,** All athletes are encouraged to sign up for the dual meets and wrestle off. ********

Youth Spring Session

March 12th- May 14th 10 Weeks

Monday                6:00pm-7:30pm            Technique/Situational Live             Grades 3rd thru 8th

The youth spring session will consist of high level technique in all three phases of wrestling top, bottom, and neutral. The students will learn how to drill at a high level and strengthen their reaction times.
The cost of the session will be $150 and will include a free t-shirt. Experienced Eighth graders are encouraged to sign up for the High School Spring Session.



 

HIGH SCHOOL SUNDAY SESSION

High School Sunday Winter "Wake Up" workout will start on Sunday Dec 4th and run until Sunday March 11th. This is a great way for the in season wrestler to fix the error's made during the season.

The session will consist of a lot of drilling/chain wrestling and situational wrestling. We will work on match game plans such as covering edge wrestling, starts and overtime issues.

Also the wreslers are encouraged to address problem area's in their game. There will be limited live wrestling but we will continue to condition to be a State Champ.
The cost of the session is $150.00

Walk Ins welcome the cost is $15 And there is no class Dec 25 & Jan 1.

Youth Winter Session 2011-2012

Monday November 28th to March 4th

Monday & Wednesday Nights 6:15pm - 7:30pm Grades 3rd thru 5th
Monday & Wednesday Nights 7:00pm - 8:45pm Grades 6th to 8th

Each class should be ready to go with wrestling shoes on by the start time for each class. The wrestling room is usually open by 5:50pm. The cost of the session is $250.00 , Two Children is $400 . If you are attending only one night a week the cost is $200. There are no walk ins available for the youth session.

6th thru 8th graders are encouraged to attend the Sunday workouts when they are not attending a tournament. 3rd thru 5 th graders are welcome if they have a partner to workout with. DO NOT COME ALONE! In regards to groups it will be coach discretion were we split some sixth graders to keep them back due to groups and size. Both practices will be run the same in regards to technique and intensity! if you are chasing kids then you are at the wrong club.

Back by popular demand the fall sessions will be an all inclusive schedule for our athletes. They will be able to maximize this schedule to their full benefit. All athletes will be highly encouraged to make sure they make at least 3 practices during each week. Monday night will be an open night for student athletes to come in and weight train. The groups are tentatively designated to be as follows; Group A (100lbs-140lb) and Group B (140lbs-HWT). After registration the groups could be subject to change. During the fall, we will get back to getting the body back in wrestling shape while continuing to sharpen the skills from all three phases.

The cost of the fall session will only be $225 and will include the full schedule and a t-shirt.  For two children the cost will be $400. For fall athletes you can sign up for the Sunday only “Wake Up” workout and the cost is $125. Youth session will be $175.

There will be no walk ins allowed during the week classes. The practices are designed to build on one another. Walk ins will only be allowed on Sundays!
